Veneto Spettacoli di Mistero is back, the festival dedicated to the most fascinating legends, tales and traditions of the Veneto region. This year’s theme is the Veneto Bestiary: a journey through the stories, beliefs, rituals and tales of the Veneto’s oral tradition, in which animals take centre stage in ancient legends, superstitions and mysteries handed down through the ages.
Part of this evocative experience is ‘Fantastic Animals and Magical Creatures of the Vittorio Veneto Area’, an immersive experience that invites you to discover the secrets hidden in Vittorio Veneto. Starting with the figure of the unicorn depicted on the 16th-century ceiling of the Loggia at the Cenedese Museum, actor Silvio Pasqualetto, from the Da Ponte Theatre Centre, will take the audience on a theatrical journey to discover the region’s most fascinating legends. Amidst mysterious tales and creatures from popular folklore, characters such as the Anguane, the Basilisk, the Biss Badaliss and the Cavra Mariana will come to life, alongside many other legendary beings that preserve local memory and traditions.
Sunday 15 November, first session at 3.30 pm, second session at 4.30 pm at the Cenedese Museum
