THE 52nd HILL WINES SHOW
On Saturday 27th of May the 52nd Edition of the “Hill Wines Show” will take place in a splendid setting of the Ancient Camaldolese Hermitage in Rua di Feletto, embellished by a historical itinerary that winds through the cells of the Ancient Hermitage. This one is a penultimate exhibition in chronological order of the Primavera del Prosecco cycle, the most important wine tourism promotion festival in the Veneto region. The Pro Loco Association will welcome the visitors of the Exhibition with a rich program full of tastings, theme nights and other events, aware that the added value given by the combination of wine and winescape is an element of distinction and value.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy other prestigious wines of local production presented by local companies. The Pro Loco pays particular attention to the revaluation of the ancient flavors of peasant culture in order to ensure continuity in the tradition and to celebrate with ever greater interest the magical embrace between “‘l magnar ben and ‘l bever meio” (to eat well and to drink even better).
The Pro Loco hopes that the event will reach ever greater importance and would like to thank those who work for the development of the industry and the territory.
For PDP Guest Card holders: 10% discount on the first bottle purchased.
San Pietro di Feletto
San Pietro di Feletto is located close to the sunny foothills on north of Conegliano. This town offers the visitor a breathtaking view of the Prosecco hills, especially from the portico of the famous Antica Pieve di San Pietro from the Lombard era. The Pieve has a salient façade, in front of which opens a large medieval portico with precious frescoes. The famous “Christ of Sunday”, of which there are only a dozen similar exemplars in the world, is among these frescoes. There is also the “Madonna with child among the saints”, which is important for a very rare iconographic detail, that of the Child Jesus sucks milk from a bladder, probably inspired by the customs of poor families of the past. The parish church played a central role in city life thanks also to the baptismal font present inside, and it became one of the oldest in the diocese of Vittorio Veneto. Guided tours are possible on request.
You can also find numerous churches and capitals located in the various hamlets.
