THE HILL WINES SHOW
The exhibition was created with the aim of publicising and enhancing the wines of Feletto and neighbouring areas, in the extra-territorial field, in a form that is not strictly tasting but also of image relating to a genuine and characteristic product of its production area.
It must therefore be everyone’s commitment to elevate the exhibition to the status of an instrument for the dissemination of the denomination of quality and taste of our territory, especially today with the recognition of a Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita product.
With appropriate presentation and a careful display of the product, in welcoming environments for a peaceful tasting, the wines produced in the relevant areas and the exhibition itself can gain the notoriety they undoubtedly deserve.
Professionalism is the conviction of producers who take care about their product, quality and image are ultimately the necessary support for this event.
San Pietro di Feletto
San Pietro di Feletto is located close to the sunny foothills on north of Conegliano. This town offers the visitor a breathtaking view of the Prosecco hills, especially from the portico of the famous Antica Pieve di San Pietro from the Lombard era. The Pieve has a salient façade, in front of which opens a large medieval portico with precious frescoes. The famous “Christ of Sunday”, of which there are only a dozen similar exemplars in the world, is among these frescoes. There is also the “Madonna with child among the saints”, which is important for a very rare iconographic detail, that of the Child Jesus sucks milk from a bladder, probably inspired by the customs of poor families of the past. The parish church played a central role in city life thanks also to the baptismal font present inside, and it became one of the oldest in the diocese of Vittorio Veneto. Guided tours are possible on request.
