VALDOBBIADENE DOCG WINE SHOW
The historic Valdobbiadene DOCG Exhibition returns to Guia for its 56th edition. An unmissable event for wine lovers, featuring an entire area dedicated to technical and sensory tastings. Beyond the glass, experience true conviviality with traditional “spiedo” lunches and outdoor activities, including guided excursions through the vineyards to discover the secrets of our hills.
Guia
Guia is a small town near Valdobbiadene, decorated by an alternation of woods and vineyards, like a sophisticated embroidery. The culture of wine is very deep-rooted and ancient in this place. It appears to be that the Romans already praised the wine produced here. If you stop in Guia, the Parish Church of S. Giacomo, built in 1520 but completely renovated in the 19th century after the damage during World War I, is definitely not to be missed. Other points of interest are the oratory of Sant’Antonio of Padua, built in 1694, the oratory of Saints Rocco and Sebastiano, erected as a votive offering for healing from the plague by the rector Alessio of Albania, and the Monument to the fallen in World War I.
Tipical Dish
Our traditional “Spiedo” (Spit-roasted meat)
