COLBERTALDO AND VIDOR HILLS VALDOBBIADENE DOCG WINE SHOW
Set within the marvelous scenery of Madonna delle Grazie in Colbertaldo—a natural amphitheater of vineyards that treasures history and beauty—the Pro Loco of Colbertaldo and the Wine Exhibition Committee present the Valdobbiadene DOCG from the “Rive” of Colbertaldo and Vidor.
Between exclusive events, guided tastings, and in-depth cultural sessions, this exhibition offers everything you need to fall in love with our hills and their excellence.
Colbertaldo
Colbertaldo is a small hamlet of Vidor with an ancient history linked to the Colbertaldo family, which was the owner of a castle built before the 11th century and destroyed in 1200 by the Trevisani, in order to prevent Ezzelino III da Romano from using it.
If you follow a long flight of steps, you will reach the main door in the centre of the facade of the Parish Church of Vidor, situated on the top of a small hill. There is also the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie, where you can admire the fresco of the Madonna with the Child and the Annunciation, the work of an unknown master, and a large altarpiece depicting the Madonna in Glory from the 19th century which dominates the interior of the church.
In the nearby center of Vidor it is possible to admire the Benedictine Abbey of Santa Bona. It was built in 1100 due to the presence of the feudal nobility and it was an important location during world conflicts.
The Monument to the Fallen in the First World War stands on the hill of the castle of Vidor above the village. It was built on the ruins of the ancient parish church and the ancient castle.
