THE 4th CONEGLIANO VALDOBBIADENE PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG WINE SHOW

Cison comes alive for the new edition of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Exhibition, with the aim of promoting the oenological culture of the area and enhancing “The Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG”, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site from July 2019.

The exhibition will be enlivened by a rich programme of collateral events.

Cison di Valmarino

Cison di Valmarino is one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages, is a small hamlet in the Treviso foothills that amazes everyone with its beauty and historical, artistic and cultural richness.
The archpriestal church of S. Maria Assunta (with a double facade and the works of Francesco Casagrande and Egidio Dall’Oglio) and Castelbrando, the famous medieval castle that gives a splendid view of the valley and the Prosecco Hills from its location.
It is possible to reach numerous naturalistic oases from the center of Cison di Valmarino. The Parco del Rujo, the Rifugio dei Loff (Loff Mountain Refuge) above the Bosco delle Penne Mozze with the stems of Simon Benetton, the Rosada with the ancient wash houses, the Ciclamino Cave, are only some of them.
It is also possible to travel through history here: strolling along the ancient Via Maestra or Via dell’Acqua, or following the “100 day road” which, from the valley floor, in a short time leads to the San Boldo Pass, (over 700 m asl) overlooking Valbelluna.
Cison di Valmarino is the scene of numerous events organized all year round. There is “Cison DiVino” that enhances the product and oenological art of the area and “Artigianato Vivo” with the rediscovery of ancient crafts and ever-present artisan skills in the summer. Among the winter events you can find “Stelle a Natale” that is a classic Christmas market , the centuries-old Frankish Fair of San Simone and Giuda in Tovena, which is among the oldest ever, and the Mostra dei Presepi – the exhibition of more than 70 nativity scenes en plein air to be admired in Mura through the narrow streets of this quite well preserved hamlet.
There is also the hamlet of Rolle (Borgo FAI) not far away, a place that the famous poet Andrea Zanzotto, a great lover of the place, rightly called “a postcard sent by the gods”.
