CARTIZZE AND VALDOBBIADENE DOCG WINE SHOW
Wine Exhibition of Cartizze and Valdobbiadene DOCG by the producers of the San Pietro di Barbozza territory. A food and wine journey to discover the flavors and the landscape of this UNESCO World Heritage site. The program features themed dinners paired with our Cartizze and Valdobbiadene DOCG wines, tastings, and guided walks.
The highlight of the event will be the 20th edition of “QUATRO PASS,” a food and wine excursion through the charming hamlets of San Pietro di Barbozza.
San Pietro di Barbozza
Walking in nature or admiring beautiful sacred buildings: in San Pietro di Barbozza, a hamlet of Valdobbiadene, slow tourism is at your fingertips.
You can walk the Anello del Prosecco, a 15km itinerary nestled in the vineyards, to discover the tradition and oenological and gastronomic culture of the territory, or leave for a short stroll in the woods of Barbozza through glimpses of unspoiled nature so regenerating for the soul.
There are many signs of religious devotion still left that you can visit in the town as well, for example the Hermitage of Sant’Alberto which is an ancient place of worship and pilgrimage destination and the Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul, carachterized by interesting paintings and the high altar in Venetian Baroque style. The Immaculate Sanctuary of Lourdes with the Convent of the Friars Minor Conventual, the Capitel-oratory of Col containing a valuable fresco dating back to the 16th century depicting the Madonna and Child between St. John the Baptist and St. Peter” and the Country Church of S. Antonio in Barbozza built in 1797 also complete the list of sacral buildings worth visiting here.
There are also a lot of splendid cultural and hiking initiatives in S. Pietro di Barbozza. Not to forget VignArte, a symposium of wooden sculpture that engage artists in creating wood sculptures, most of which will then be placed in the vineyards and therefore visible all year round.
