From 16 to 25 October, the beating heart of Sernaglia della Battaglia comes alive with warmth, colour and folklore for the traditional Pumpkin Festival. An unmissable and mouth-watering autumn event, ideal for anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the most authentic aromas, genuine flavours and true culinary traditions of autumn in the Treviso area.
This historic event is also part of the renowned ‘Delizie d’Autunno’ festival, a programme of events created to celebrate and showcase the region’s seasonal food and wine specialities and the profound richness of our local area.
The undisputed queen and star of the table is the pumpkin. At the lavish food and wine stand, visitors can be captivated by a triumph of flavours: from gnocchi and lasagne to homemade tortelli and artisanal desserts. Each speciality of the day is designed to showcase this versatile ingredient, to be paired, of course, with an excellent glass of local wine selected from the festival’s well-stocked wine cellar.
As well as the pleasures of fine dining and good company, the event offers the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries in the great outdoors. During the festival, you’ll be able to take part in fascinating guided nature walks and excursions – the ideal way to discover, at a leisurely pace, the picturesque landscapes of Palù and Fontane Bianche before settling down at the stalls for an unforgettable lunch or dinner.
