82^ Festa dei Marroni

festa dei marroni

From October 9 to November 1, the village of Combai, nestled in the heart of the Treviso hills, celebrates one of its most iconic products with the traditional Chestnut Festival, a must-see event for anyone who loves authentic flavors, nature, and local traditions.

The event is part of the “Delizie d’Autunno” festival, a calendar of events dedicated to the region’s culinary excellence and local traditions, which invites visitors to discover the typical products of the fall season.

The undisputed stars of the festival are the Combai chestnuts, prized for their taste and quality, which serve as the main ingredient in numerous culinary specialties. During the event, you can savor dishes made with chestnuts, discover traditional recipes, and let yourself be captivated by the scents and flavors of autumn.

But the Chestnut Festival isn’t just an excuse to sit down to a meal! The program also features walks through the picturesque hilly landscapes to explore nature and the local area, as well as workshops and activities designed to offer an immersive experience and provide a closer look at the traditions surrounding chestnuts.

These are perfect weekends to spend a day outdoors with family or friends, enjoying good food, culture, and autumn scenery.
